So Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai are an item. So who cares? Well the timing of this ad couldnt have been worse. The day the ad hit the television channels was the same day Mr Oberoi had a press conference announcing the war between him and Salman Khan.
Anyways that apart, this ad initially had Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the cast. But Mr Roshan could not get a hang of the concept. Well for once he was right too. Do any of us get the concept? Except for the fact that the both of them drink coca cola and call strangers and leave their mobiles in strange cabs.
Who would do that? Leave your mobile in a cab and expect the exact same person you want to talk to board the cab.... even if you were certain, would you still stake leaving your phone in a cab?
Well, I wouldnt. But then love makes people do strange things. However in this case it is not even love. It is a crush. And surely both the characters are quite cassanovish to use their mobiles as pegs.
The concept doesnt make sense. Nor do the lines uttered in the commercial. Mera phone thoda romantic hai ... kahin woh window shopping to nahin kar raha ....
Mera phone gusse mein bahut khubsoorat lagta hai....
or something to that effect.
And sadly the two characters dont even spark the screen. They dont seem to have any special chemistry. It kinda reminds you of the Hrithik-Aishwarya ad that created waves. For the simple reason, it was a well thought-out ad, well executed and the duo looked great together.
