I drink COCA-COLA and not diet COCA-COLA. I once thought that diet Coke would cut calories and help me to become thinner. Then I found out what additives they put in diet Coke and I decided that I would rather have sugar, (that is a natural product), than diet Coke.
SOME INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY, (from their information):
’’The drink began in a Candy Store that was owned by Joseph A. Biedenharn. The Store was in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He just wanted to make a drink to sell to his customers. The first drinks that were bottled in something called a ’Hutchinson.’ The drink was an instant hit and Mr. Biedenharn sent a case to Asa Griggs Candler who was the owner of the Coca Cola Company’’. The rest of the Story I am sure you know.
Today the Company is base in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. At their Company there they have built The World of Coca-Cola. This is one of Atlanta’s Tourist Attractions’’.
What they did not say on their information page is the formula. Well no one gives up their secret recipes. I know a secret about the Coca-Cola Company that my Father, (may he rest in peace), told me a long time ago.
He said, ’’Coco-Cola was originally made as a tonic to help people with a variety of illnesses. One of the ingredient was ’’Coke’’ that people become addicted to.’’ I am certain that the tonic helped a lot of people have many ’’sweet dreams’’!
THE COMPANY MAKES MANY OTHER TYPE OF THINGS:
I could not believe it when I read, (from their page), ’’ the make 230 brands of nonalcoholic beverage and the formula is different in other areas of the World. They say they make Coke with Apricots, Coffee and Lychee Nuts’’. I would love to try those!
I did know that Coke is sold around the World as I have bottles from Israel, Hong Kong and Greece. I also know that they make soft drinks, fruit juices, bottled waters and sports drinks that are available to us in Canada. I have tried Coke with Cherries, Orange and Lemon. I enjoyed them as well and I do drink them just for a change. I always go back to the Original Coca-Cola.
The COMPANY also makes a lot of different collectables. I have a few trays and my Husband Ivor has a few Base Ball Caps.
HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN THE DRINK TEST?
When I was younger people claimed if you were blindfolded and took a sip of Coca-Cola, Seven Up and Ginger Ale you would not be able to tell the difference because we see the color and then taste what we believe is different.
I took the test three times. I was the only person in the room that could tell the difference between the drinks. That is why when I tell you that I enjoy Coca-Cola is my favorite non-alcoholic beverage I know what I am talking about.
I have tried Pepsi Cola and I did like it but it gave me a headache every time so I don’t even try to drink it. I am not saying any other beverage is bad. I know people that get headaches from Coca-Cola. I believe it is about our body chemistry.
I USE COKE IN OTHER WAYS:
1) I make a Coke Float by adding Ice Cream. I make an Egg Cream by adding Ice Cream and Soda.
2) I use it as a mix when I drink Rum and Canadian Rye, (not American Rye).
3) I add it to a Stew and to a Roast to change the flavor of the gravy.
