Dia de los Muertos.

I finally had the chance to see Coco and here’s what I thought about it.

Director: Lee Unkrich

Cast: Anthony gonzalez, Gael Garcia Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, Renee victor, Alanna ubach and more.

Coco tells the story of a boy Miguel who loves music and wants to be a great musician but is held back by his family’s generations old ban on all music. Miguel ends up in the land of the dead where he meets Hector and the two embark on a journey to find the real story behind his family’s history.

Pixar’s films have given us many great films like Toy story, Monsters Inc., Inside out etc. over the years. These films have managed to entertain with some innovative stories, likeable characters and moments that would bring tears. Coco is yet another such movie. Its funny but at the same time its very heartfelt. When it comes to the animation there is no doubt that its spectacular. Except for the characters obviously the entire world around them looks very photorealistic. Disney.Pixar like always have made a gorgeous film.

I enjoyed Coco a lot. The characters were very likeable and the voice work was great. The visuals as I already mentioned were amazing. There are plenty of hilarious moments but there are some moments near the end that almost brought tears to my eyes. The music which is a very important part of the film was very impressive.

Overall the film consistently kept me interested in its characters and touching story. The characters felt realistic even though they were animated which is what Pixar is best at.

Audiences of all ages will definitely love this film. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed Coco. Its a very good film and I highly recommend people to check it out. I loved Coco and I give it 4/5 stars
