It was 10 am. I had just got out of bed, brushed my teeth and was sitting with my cup of morning tea when my friend rang up.After the usual banter, she asked me “So what are you planning today?”
“Nothing great..got a few books to read, and also got to visit a friend and yeah , mebbe finally write a review..”
She sounded interested “So, what are u going to write about?”
“I don’t know..i just got up..hmm..yeah I’m gonna write about a tooth paste.”
“Oh!!toothpaste!!” Her interest just vanished..Boom!! Dismissed!!Just like that.
Alright!So I went to my mom next, just to see her reaction.The minute she saw me, she looked at the clock with the “Atlast madamji has decided to get up!” expression..I started before she could start her lecture..”Mummy I’m gonna write about a toothpaste”.My mom gave me an exasperated look and told me “Whatz there to write about a toothpaste?”
That’s it..Well.I did’nt expect people to jump up and scream in excitement..but my Colgate Super Shakti Dental Cream forms part of my daily life..well itz time to respect our toothpaste a little more.(How much more dramatic can I get!!!)
Colgate Dental Cream.(CDC).Thatz what I’m going to write about..so I logged on to MS and searched for Colgate Dental cream..Surprise!Surprise!Not even a single opinion on CDC.Hmm..The toothpaste that I have been using for years!!
Incidentally, Colgate dental cream is the firsttoothpaste to come into existence. Before that there were tooth powders but colgate dental cream was the first toothpaste in a tube..and do you know when it was introduced? Well, hold your breath!! It was actually introduced way back in 1896 in USA..Ok!!History lesson over for the day.
Now for some chemistry lessons.

(Don’t even think of asking me what that third word meant..never heard of it..I remember studying about the first two names in my chemistry classes!)

Colgate dental cream comes in various sizes and prices. We have a 50g pack which is around Rs.15.50. A 100g pack costs around Rs.30 and a 150g pack costs Rs.42
Alright!! The technicalities of the toothpaste have been dealt with..lets move to the functionalities and why I like this paste.
# It promises to have more minerals and calcium, so, its supposed to fight decay properly and also make your teeth stronger.It does fight decay well.Considering the number of chocolate bars I eat everyday, my teeth is quite ok I suppose.
# The taste is also ok.. You wont yearn for more toothpaste but it does’nt irritate you either. So I think it’s a good bargain. The problem with very tasty toothpastes is that u tend to eat it up or swallow it coz of the taste. No danger of that with CDC.
# What I like best about the toothpaste is that it is quite simple. No fancy lines or colours just plain white.That’s how your teeth is supposed to be, right?
# It is also not sticky and slimy like some gel toothpastes.
#It fights bad breath like any other toothpaste and you also feel pretty fresh after u’r morning brush..
#It comes in a regular tube and is easily squeezable..very handy during school and college trips and excursions.. you can show off u’r artistic talents on the faces of your friends who dare to sleep early.
One of my friends told me, that the first thing she would look out in a person to whom she would get married is whether he had a proper set of white teeth!!
