COLGATE HERBAL TOOTHPASTE is a one of the range of new herbal products that Colgate has put on the Market.
Toothpaste is an essential Part of our lives because Teeth are a very important part of our body.If you dont take care of them it will not only cause pain but could also affect other parts of your body.
This Toothpaste is quite different than any other tooth paste I have used.
HISTORY, (Encyclopedia):
The origin of Toothpaste was in India and China around 300 BC.
The Egyptians then used a powder with some exotic items like Burnt hooves of Oxen and Burnt Egg Shells.
The Romans and Greeks are the ones who thought that Toothpaste was wonderful.
The Persians using Dried Animal Skin and Herbs which include Myrrh.
Great Britain then developed a version of the modern day Toothpaste in a powder form which was used with their Fingers. They also did the research that developed the first Toothbrush. The bristles were very hard.
Today we have a lot of choices of Toothpaste and Toothbrushes.
THE BOX:
You have a choice of what size to buy: 20, 50 or 100 ml tubes. I was given a free test tube at the Make-up Counter when they were promoting this new Toothpaste.
The box is made with the normal toothpaste hard paper. On it is a brightly coloured with “Colgate” written across the top.
After I opened the Box the Tube slipped out easily. There is a green border that made me think it would be mint fresh! The top is a screw-off one.
COLGATE HERBAL TOOTHPASTE:
The Toothpaste has white, green and stipes. I put a dab of it on my Toothbrush.
When I began to brush it foamed up quickly. You would think with the two sweetners in the mixture but I couldnt taste them and all I could taste the Eucalyptus and it was quite nippy.
When I finished brushing my mouth and teeth felt clean.
HOW I BRUSH MY TEETH:
I turned on the water and ran my brush under it. I always begin by brushing all over my tongue, (where most of the germs in your mouth are lurking to attack if you dont brush them off!)
Then I begin on the right back side of my teeth a slowly brush across the back of my teeth and gums first using an up and down motion. I go back using a circle motion. Then I do the same thing on the front part of my teeth and gums.
You think with the two sweetners it would taste sweet but The flavour tasted mostly of the Eucalypts. And it smelled like medicine.
THE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW, (from the Box:
Aqua
Sodium Monofluorophosphate1.1% w/w. This is fluoride and it is used to prevents tooth decay.

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is what makes your Toothpaste foaming agent )
Methylparaben and Propylparaben are preservatives.
Cellulose Gum is a gum that keeps all of the ingredients together.
It is made with also made with Chamomile, Sage, Eucalyptus and Myrrh. Why did Colgate use there herbs:
Myrrh is the gum or resin from the Stem of the Myrrh Tree is used in Mouthwashes, Toothpastes and Tooth Powders. It helps soothe throats and helps Strengthens the Gums.
Chamomile is the herb is bitter has a strong scent. It is often used in medicines. In Toothpaste it is used to make your mouth feel fresh.
Sage is a herb controls Gingivitis and is used to treat bleeding gums.
Eucalyptus is an oil that is used as an antiseptic and to give this Toothpaste flavour.
THE COMPANY:

MY THOUGHTS:
I should have read the Box better because I am allergic to seaweed. Within an hour of brushing my teeth I had hives all over my body.
Even if that had not happened I found this Toothpaste quite bitter and didnt like the taste at all.
Everyone has different tastes so I will let you decide it you want to try this Toothpaste.
