I had a very bad experience with this hospital. The consulting doctor Poornima Ramesh and Dr Shaphalikas treatments are the only plus points in this hospital. My wife admitted for delivery. The first bad experience is they took 45 mins for admission, when my wife is getting labor pains I had to leave her in Labout ward and spent 45 mins for admission.
The biggest problem in this hospital is Low staff, there are only two nurses in each nursing station who are not able to manage the patients.
Below are the Cons in this hospital:-
1) Charges are too high, but we are not really bothered about it because I was looking for good service. Nurses charged few baby care items, which we never took. when I saw the draft bill, I was shocked to see so many wet tissues and baby dypers we never took. when I asked for clarification on this, nurses reversed the bill for few items. so the lesson is we have to check each and every item in the bill.
2) Nursing care is not at all good, 2nd day after C section my wife wanted to get down from bed to go to restroom. She asked nurse to down the cot little so that she can get down from it. But she said its not possible. My wife struggled a lot and got gown. Next day we asked other duty nurse to down the cot and she did it.
3) 3rd Day morning our doctor Poornima visited my wife and left for the day. after 2 hours my wife was started getting lot of pain in the surgery area we started calling duty doctor. But no clue where the duty doctors are. we waited for the duty doctor from morning 11 AM to 9 PM.
4) Pediatrician visited baby in the morning and he asked nurses to conduct some test at evening 6.30 to check the Jaundice. I over heard this. when I visited hospital at 8.30 I got to know no sample taken for test. I went and asked the nurses, they checked their system and said yes doctor ordered to take sample at 6.30 but we forgot my wife was asking nurses to call a pediatrician to see baby because she observed the babies eyes were started turning yellow. and there are no pediatrician came to see the baby from 2 PM to 9 PM.
5) my wife takes a injection at a frequency of 24 hours. nurses are supposed to give a injection at 9 Am they missed it and gave 4 PM in the evening. this changed the entire cycle of injection timing.
I contacted Mr, Kushalappa, Admin with my above issues. He immediately came to my help and solved my above issues by calling duty doctors immediately. and ordered a test for baby immediately.
Next day same problem continued... no duty doctors.... we struggled 4 hours to catch a pediatrician for discharge advice.
I agree it is hygienic and good.
Excellent doctors.... Poornima Ramesh and Shaphalika.
Care less doctors.... Gynecologist Anita and Pediatrician - Kavita.
Dont never go to columbia asia hospital yeswanthpur.......
