Columbia Asia was designed to be a clinic; But the numbers grew and they started calling them as hospital. It was earlier called "Columbia Asia Medical Centre" and is registered in the same name. So like a clinic, it is not capable of providing high end services. But money makes Donkey’s wear trousers & speak english.
They embezzled the accounts and got Employee’s Provident Fund of Malaysia buy 30% of its stake. This gave them money & freedom to play around in different countries, keeping their AS S intact in Malaysia. The operation in INDIA, Indonasia & Sri lanka(future) is a facility set up to get another partners. Columbia Asia means to create a hype till it get further investors.
Their main focus is not healthcare. They have some bunch of morons who are from industries not even in 10 miles of radius from healthcare domain. Like Indian operation is headed by an Axxxx named Txxx xxxxx. He was thrown out from Obroi hotels. He was a chef - cum - some short of manager there. Similar are the track records of other person in the board.
Because I know people there, I once took my relatives for a minor appendix operations. I realised that they mess around with your bills because you cant keep count of things used during surgery. The doctors consultation fees are added if the doctor meets you in the corridor and talks to you about the weather(for in-patient). Since its related to health and well-being of your near & dear ones, you dont ask too many questions.
Now coming to the service, the wards and under-staffed. so if you need immediate attention at night. forget it. tell you cry & shout at the top of your voice. and the admitting doctors refuse to visit at night.
Now one must be wondering how I know so much. Well I did audit for this hospital for 4 years. and once by mistake took my relative there for operation.
