On my first trip to Goa, we stayed at Colva Beach in South Goa. Colva is one of the most popular beaches in the south. The south is much quieter and less developed than the north. If youre looking for action, this is not the place to go, but if you want peace and relaxtion, this is the place.
Colva Beach has managed to keep all the hotels off the beach. Youll find a clean beach with( most of the time) blue water and palms trees almost to the shore. The water can be rough so be careful when swimming. The beach has some nice shacks for lunch and a cold beer or two. Water sports/parasailing are available from the beach.
There are beach sellers here( as on almost all the beaches - best to ignore them) . Watch the stray dogs as well.
