Honestly speaking I hate writing reviews.I joined MS for the pure pleasure of RRCing reviews.But yet I keep inflicting the evil punishment (my ?pathetic? reviews obviously!) on the poor readers.I bounced into soo many people?s reviews and comments sections.
I used to gape at those ?n? number of sweet things and ofcourse the criticisms they received.I longed for those comments too.So the only way for me to get my own delightful comments was obviously by writing reviews.And thaat I did for I really was and I am in love with the ?comments section?.
Comment karneka Bahaan no. 123..?
Comments are really important.If it weren?t so I don?t think MS would have this provision at all.It always feels nice to be appreciated and at the same time if certain mistakes are pointed out people can correct it out.Writing is not a very easy task atleast it isn?t a piece of cake for a few people(I?m one of them).When someone works hard to write something they will be truly satisfied with their work only if they receive some feedback.It makes them feel proud of their work.
Justify your rating?..
Generally whenever I rate someone?s review I make sure that I leave some comments.But in the last month I thought it would be better only to rate reviews as I could cover all then.And so I did that.Mostly I had to rate SU?s and U?s.The rating was fine.But how will those reviewers know why I gave such a rating.If I found something amiss then surely I?m supposed to point it out.Even if a VU rating is given it is definitely necessary to justify your rating.How will the reviewer know why you liked the review or why you didn?t .How will the reviewer know whats missing in their review which made you give such low rating.So it?s very important to justify your rating.
I don?t have time??
That?s an absurd reason for not commenting on one?s reviews.You will get time only if you take it out.And it takes less than a minute to give a comment.Let the comment be a short one but it will be appreciated definitely.If you really can?t comment then get back to that review later.But do make sure you do comment without forgetting.
The long and short of it?.
Sometimes it?s difficult to say what you exactly wish to say.Words don?t seem to be enough and the result a short and a crisp comment which is really very crunchy.And sometimes you feel like just going on and on.You just want to convey what you think and the result a long and yummy comment which is surely to be relished.The length of the comment doesn?t matter.What?s important is the time you spare to give those precious comments.And what?s more important than that is whether you conveyed whatever you wanted to say.
Constructive is the word??
Not all reviews are perfect.There might be some mistake or they might be a few things which you strongly disagree and you do mention them in your comments.But in what way?.Is it in a constructive way ?.You feel like criticising something in someone?s review but that doesn?t mean you have to criticise in a rude manner.I remember the first comment I ever received.A few mistakes I made were pointed out but it was pointed out in a very polite manner .It?s a general human tendency to make mistakes but that doesn?t give someone a reason to criticize in a rude manner.
What?s your mood today?
When I read a few people saying in someone?s comments section that they were not in a mood to comment I was very amused.I didn?t know that mood played a role in commenting.But later I knew what they meant.Sometimes you just don?t feel like commenting but at the same time you feel tempted to just say a word or two maybe because the review was excellent or maybe it was exudingly pathetic.Well why bother to comment when your not in a mood a few people may ask.But I don?t think it?s wrong.
How personal are we?
Getting personal in the comments section oooh that has sparked out many people?s fury.I don?t think it?s wrong but neither do I say that it?s right.I?m guilty of getting personal too sometimes in the comments.When my messengers weren?t working the only way I could contact certain members was through their comments section.M2M?s hai nah but they are slow.Atleast that?s what I feel.Well upto a certain point it?s alright but once it exceeds the limit then I must say that even I get irritated.But it is the reviewer and the commentator?s wish and I must say that the people who have a problem with it shouldn?t read them.That way everyone will be happy.
Reply toh dena padega!
When I was new on MS (ahem not that I?m old right now) a few people were objecting to the reviewers giving replies to the comments they received.Why have they got a problem with that don?t ask me!.In one of my reviews I too decided that I wouldn?t give replies and obviously I thanked people through M2M?s.But aww one of the traits of my sun sign is laziness.In the beginning I found it okaay but well later I must say that I didn?t even bother to get back to those people.Then one of the members asked me why I wasn?t replying to anyone and has asked me to make the section a bit interactive.Ohh so getting interactive isn?t wrong I suppose and then I got back to my old self.So those who have got a problem with others giving reply ahem ahem do as you wish in your reviews but don?t try to impose your wishes on others.And hey I love getting replies to the comments I give.I keep on checking their section until I get a reply.So people giving replies isn?t a crime!..

Giving comments is fine but when should they be given?.Obviously after reading the review. Why am I saying this? .Well because few people tend to comment without reading the review. I remember one comment I received where the person said that I dealt well with the movie?s story whilst actually my review didn?t have the story of that movie at all!!.Now it?s obvious what someone will think about such persons!.Such comments are actually useless. It is important to read the review and then only comment
Aao Naa?..
After writing my first review I was really apprehensive.I was tensed and worried as I didn?t know what response my first attempt would get.The few comments I got made me feel welcome and ofcourse has emboldened me.If I wouldn?t get those few comments I don?t think I would write any more.Comments are the most fantastic method of welcoming new members.It encourages them.The comments boosts their writing skills and they will also feel delighted and happy.
Now I?m getting personal!!!
Let me speak about me, myself and only me.I obviously appreciate all the comments I receive and so I really thank those few special people who alwaaaaaays have time for ME!!!..If you don?t like something, anything or everything about my review you have got every right to say so.Don?t hesitate at all as I am not a perfect person and there is still a scope for me to improve.So it isn?t fair to deprive me of improving!!..
