At the beginning
! Of my career as a computer faculty, teaching the students how to scratch brains just to add/subtract/divide/multiply numbers through programming(even when I knew that calculator is already invented, but no student has the nerve to point out that, thinking may be this will calculate 2+2=5 with computer program) also as part of my job used to teach them how to comment the programs, as a good programming practice
! Of my membership as Happyz in MS, I remember I was so happy after posting my first review and was desperately waiting for members to read/rate my review, more than anything I was waiting for the first comment, very nervous I was then as to what would be the first comment like(as if waiting for my results, on which 99% I am sure I will fail lolz!) as I never thought I would write something to read for others. And Lo! Then there was thisfirst comment and even before reading it, my face lit up like a100 watts bulb and afterwards it was so bright everybody around just couldnt keep their eyes off my face, it read something likewhat a fantastic review. I think this review of yours deserves more than a HR rating from a senior netizen like me.
No I had not started to give this happiness to others, I was learning how to comment didnt know how and what should I comment
After a bit experience.
! I took a career jump and started coding myself, often my boss used to tell me to comment my programs. Come on, why should I do that? I can understand my own code and can make any modifications any time. What he knows how bore it is to put comments?
! I took MS Seriously; started enjoying writing reviews and reading comments on my reviews, also used to read reviews from other members, but how could I comment on great writers reviews? Had just started commenting on new member\s reviews as I knew that act as a moral booster and help beginners to write more and better stuff.
Now that I am quite experienced.
! Working on handling projects, I keep telling my team members please comment your code, and whenever find they have not commented their code, often force them to put comments, now that I know how difficult it is when one member quits and the other has to understand his/her code to continue with the project
! Having written quite some reviews, I have learned quite a lot from reading comments on my reviews, really feel like commenting on other Great members reviews too, but again I always feel I dont have that kind of skills which I often see on other comments, of late have forcefully, gathering all my strength and will power have started to comment on Star writer reviews and then I get a M2MMadam Bhavana has commented on my review for the first time, I feel highly obliged wow! That too from a star writer;o)
Now knowing how to comment on reviews shouldnt I enlighten others? No wait, I am not giving out instructions on what should be in the comments and what not.
I am just sharing some personal experiences and a feeling about commenting.
:~) A good comment.
Most of the time we find thisLiked your review orNice Review these makes us feel good but just this actually confuses me some times specially when I have a feeling that my review was not that good and expected some critics to point where have I gone wrong, so if added with what exactly made the reader say, Nice review it makes me feel really good.:o)
:~) Humorous comment.
Now this we all really love, even when there is something pointing to a mistake or just adding to the humor in your review, it really makes us feel like someone has really loved our review.
:~) A bad or criticizing comment.
These we all take with a pinch of salt but if there are hidden facts in it relevant to your review, this should be rather taken as a learning point, often we skip writing a critic comment thinking the writer might not feel good about it dont do this infect say it but politely.
:~) Just a comment.
Good one! Keep writing, now although this adds to your list one more comment and often makes the writer a bit happy but has not said what you like about the review, if this could be added then nothing like it.
:~) Relevant comment.
These are the best ones, perfectly stating that you have read the review giving full attention and understanding/not understanding some part of it or everything in it, it can be a said as a bad/good/humorous comment, but then it actually meant to give you a better view of your own review, when reviewed by others
:~) Informative comment.
Pointing out to errors in the review, or what else could have been added to make it a better one, or what have been missed, or just asking something else about the point mentioned in the review, like the one I got, Good review, but how could you forget the o so famous wada-pav stalls outside
:~) Booster comment.
Creativity thy name is bhavana what would you feel after reading such a comment, well I was on top of 7th cloud, infect anyone would be. How it makes you feel great, that someone has really loved reading the style in which you have written and it was really unique then others, jara hatke
:~) Whatever it may be Good or Bad, Humorous or Humorless, Relevant or Irrelevant, Informative or Uninformative, comments will be one thing which always makes the writer feels there was something special about my review, which tempted the reader to add his comment on itWorth a comment read:o)
Should I ask to make me feel Special by adding your valuable comment?
P.S: Current trend to comment first on the reviews is the best, let me see who grabs the first comment spot on this review;o)
