After having got enough into my ears , through the various media about this book ; I decided to buy one myself .
I am definitely not surprised that an 84 year old could write something like this . Soft porn(SP) -- Yes this book certainly qualifies to be one , but not in equivalence with professional SP writers . Khuswant singh has managed to pull over this topic very scrupulously , but nevertheless retorted to portraying the main charecter as rich man . Well , the Rich can do anything ( Is this what he intends to say ) ; But , so can a common man.
If we were to talk about bedding a sweeperess ( A lady sweeper , as described by Khuswant singh in the book ) , I am definitely surprised how Khuswant singh could not manage to allude a womens feeling into it .
The language is definitely appreciable ; The stream of events is not so intricately laid. I would never consider this a great piece of literature ( For more obvious reasons ) , But an average piece of writing , and I definitely hate it when people say that ’’ How could someone at this age (84) write anything like that ’’ .
The story revolves around a rich man , who is just divorced and his conquest to find a ’’Kept Women’’ .
The story is not worth a mention here . All in all the Book is no good a BOOK.
