The Compaq V3149AU is really a awesome computer, easy to use and has a really high performance processor. It’s wonderful dual core 64 bit AMD processor will run just anything. It has 1GB ram and NVidia integrated Graphics having 256MB graphics memory giving a great experience running the Windows Vista Areo interface and playing games like Doom 3 etc is a breeze on such a speedy system.
The touchpad bundled with the system is better than those on the Lenovo and also has scroll pad on the sides. The Altec Lansing speakers provide good experience even on bass music etc and are great at playing games as they are HD compatible sound system.
The screen is the best in its class with a resolution of 1280x800 and shows great images and has adequate brightness and also the easy access keys are placed elegantly.
The external finish of the product is glossy and is the best among the current brands. The Sony DVDRW does a great job at good burning. It has integrated Bluetooth, WiFi as well as a Ricoh Card reader which reads all common types of cards like SD/MMC and MS pro.
The only lacking thing is the TV tuner which is not included as also the Media center remote though the system comes bundled with Windows Vista Home Premium edition. Also there are some heating issues at the bottom of the laptop though these are common with such heavy duty laptops.
