THE DELICATE SOUNDS OF SILENCE

I made a review of this album earlier on but since it has been deleted it certainly deserves to be reviewed once more...

Although having no crazy fans like the other star rock musicians this group, with their soft and fondling music sound, made everyone love them that noone could say that their music was none of a taste...

Many ’’greatest hits’’ albums of the group have been released but in this one you will be able to find a large collection of their hit songs that those albums dont possess...

The album offers you a music taste of virtually 75 minutes that is build up with 19 songs. The album was recorded on September 19, 1981.The most pozitive point is the success and the excellency of the arrangement of the instruments and the vocals;so that the album’s sound can not be distinguished from a studio version...There are many beautiful songs placed in the album but here I will make a general review of the album with the leading ones in detail...

The sound of the songs generally resemble eachother. For instance, you may be able to find similar tastes in the songs, Homeward Bound, America and Scarborough Fair.Well of course that doesnt mean that they are not spectacular. As you know they are 3 of the most well known group songs.Smooth and resting melody they posses even refreshing your mind with body as well...

The same situation is of attention in the rapid songs too.For example the songs Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover, Late In the Evening and Kodachrome resemble eachother. However the trumpet accompaniment in the second one should be strongly mentioned giving it a special taste.

According to me the leading songs of the album are, Me and Julio Down By The School Yard, April Come She Will, American Tune, A Heart in New York, Slip Slidin’ Away and the king:Bridge Over Troubled Water!!

The rhytmic and rapid song Me and Julio, has a different rhytmic taste and a particular tune, according to me, that makes it seperate from the other ones.

April Come She Will is a short slow song that u cannot enjoy as much as u want like a beautiful butterfly dying so early. The melody has similarities again but you will sure notice the special atmosphere of it.

The non-Simon tune Heart In New York is another slow song with a spectacular melody. This one is a bit too short too...

Slip Slidin’ has a lovely rhytm with the melody as well.Although not a rapid song you will certainly accompany the rhytm of it with your fingers...

Before the king Mrs.Robinson and Sounds Of Silence should be mentioned. The two classic and perhaps most well known two songs of the group are also placed in the album.Mrs.Robinson with it’s rapid rhytm and Sounds of Silence especially with it’s lyrics are of attention...

And here comes the king, Bridge Over Troubled Water!!This slow song has a different melodical structure than the others.Unusually it starts with a strong piano tune and it dominates the song throughout. The melody sometimes, especially in the chorus part, rises and presents a ’’legendary’’ tune with the other times a cool, smooth, calm sound...I think one of the most impressive part of the song is the https://lyrics...Here you are:’’When you’re weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, i will dry them all;im on your side when times get rough and friends just cant be found like a bridge over troubled water.’’

P.S:Many more things to say but not enough space.Hope this time its not deleted. Will strike back with more rock reviews...
