Confessions of a Shopaholic- the movie starts with a young girl going and buying shoes at a local store with her mom. Her mom buys her shoes that more sturdy looking but not beautiful at the same time, there were other girls who were shopping there were giggling at the choice made. How many of us can relate to that? Most of us, I believe even guys have faced that issue too.
More on the movie, what I liked most is the fact you a have a whole fashion show with all the major brands being mentioned or seen in the movie - Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton and many other fashion brands who have still not made an official entry into India, they were just there from Style. Last movie, Devil Wears Prada - Meryl Streep As Miranda Priestly, at her best; where the movie had fashion brand names being thrown at you like they were candy for children, but for sure it would have been eye candy for many.
Guys, this is an interesting movie, if you want to understand women. Learning from the movie, when you go out with women shopping, dont be surprised that you spend too much time deciding should we buy the Black party gown or the pink shoes. One doesnt mind buying both but the lady insists that she needs only one of them. Once you sit in the car with the shopping bags, you hear her say, man those pink shoes would have gone well with the that dress.
Talking about shoes, when you go with a bunch of ladies and watch a movie (specially this one), then you hear an echo of Ohs and ahs after every scene change, not because the high emotions running in the movie but what the protagonistis wearing in the movie. Most of the times the echo was "I love those shoes, shoes, shoes."
Overall, the movie was good experience, if you are looking forward to a lazy Sunday and want watch something really light, you can surely choose this movie with your spouse, girlfriend and even family.
