There are 2 main reasons for giving this product 1 star.
1st: you can not configure your official Outlook email using the email exchange.option in this phone. When contacted Coolpad Customer care. they straight way said its not possible to configure exchange on this phone further they said to use some 3rd part application for emails and calendar. and when asked the name of the 3rd party application, so that I will also use the same tried and tested application, they said they can not tell that . so that means even Coolpad know that 3rd party application are not reliable to configure company’s emails and calendar.
2nd: there is no desktop software. like for other brands you can use some PC suite, or desktop manager to sync contacts, calendar, snogs picture etc. . for this issue customer care people said its not available.
and above information is not mentioned anywhere on the coolpad note 5 page on the amazon link as well as on the coolpad india link. For me its a sort of cheating in which Collpad is deliberately involved and Amazon is a partner in crime and I will tell the reason for saying this . I asked for refund or exchange of this mobile with another brand, but Amazon asked for DOA letter from the Coolpad. and why in this world will Coolpad give me DOA letter, as there is no damage or no defect, . its a feature which is not activated by Coolpad.
Now Coolpad has sold their unit via Amazon and both got money . now coolpad will never issue a DOA and Amazon will never give you refund without the DOA letter. SO both are happily sharing the profit.
THOSE FRIENDS WHO WOULD LIKE TO USE OFFICIAL EMAILS AND CALENDAR ON THIS PHONE, PLEASE DO NOT AND NEVER BUY COOLPAD PHONE.
if anyone can help me configure my outlook, I would be happy to keep this phone. but do not want to use 3rd party applications
otherswise this phone is good so far. lil bit of lagging but there is no issue with the phone as far as display, touch, some nice hidden features, camera, battery, etc is concerned.
