I have been wearing specs since I was in third grade. And well, truth be told, I have never been a fan of shopping for frames online. I prefer to shop offline, try the frame myself and then purchase. However, a close friend recommended coolwinks.com to me. I would like to share my experience and explain as to why I would not recommend this website to anyone.
1) The images on the website had to 360 degree video image for better evaluation of the frame. This made it all the more hard for me to select a frame, as I did not know how it would look in reality.
2) The delivery time was horrendous. It took 3 weeks for the item to be sent to me. Also, another problem that I faced with delivery was that the delivery charges placed by the company were rupees 600. That is insane. Who charges rupees six hundred for a standard delivery.
3) These people only sell frames, no glass lenses. So after receiving the product and getting lenses from a third party shop, I used the glasses for quite a while. I had ordered one of the most premium offerings of this website, but the chrome started wearing off and the colour started chipping off after only a month of usage. One day, when I was taking off the specs, the side bar just came out and broke apart. So yeah, the quality of their products is even below average.
4) One thing that may turn off many people is that there are no reputable brands in this website’s collection. All there is a bunch of never heard brands, and that explains the lack of quality.
All in all, don’t use this website.
