I booked for a Coorg holiday trip at Jungle Camp Resort at Herur near Kushalnagara. I was surprised by the staff at reception on arrival as they asked me to deposit an amount for our stay apart from Rs. 5, 000 which I had already deposited into their account at Bangalore. The food and service are poor. The coffee and tea served tastes like flavored water.
The balcony room accommodation provided was full of insects and lizards. The cottage was quite ok. But the reception staff are rude and claim that insects, rodents and reptiles are quite common in their resort. There are no other recreation available as per their claim on their website. All the cycles are broken and non functional. The swimming pool is not maintained properly and stinks.
The package charged was not worth the stay. Please do not get carried away by the other reviews on Tripadvisor and other websites for this resort. They are misleading. I was personally at this place on 6th and 7th May 2013. I feel cheated.
Don’t go to this JUNGLE CAMP RESORT !!!!
