Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland.

It is served mainly by Aer Lingus which is the official airline of Ireland. Inspite of being a small airport, in addition to Aer Lingus a lot of other European airlines operate flights to it.

Its a small airport that operates only during day hours, there you can walk out of the plane just like getting off a bus, there are no long passages, tunnels.

This airport is located roughly 5miles from the cork city center.

I have been to cork quite a few times and the staff is very friendly.

Despite its small size, it has a reasonably good shopping area, cafe etc. All the facilities of an International airport including car rentals etc   are available there.

Cork city as well as its airport are both laid back and very friendly and give a typical European feel. .

Now, a lot of renovation and development work is going on at the Cork Airport.
