I had gone to watch this movie as I don’t miss Madhur Bhandarkar’s movies.... Though I don’t like the ends of the movies as these are hard hitting and end is generally negative but still the movies are worth a dekho for they have different type of substance and some novelty.
Madhur’s movies are always been surrounded by controversies ... After Chandni Bar, Bar Girls were banned in mumbai. After Page3 one page 3 personality was suspected for drugs and arrested. Now after the movie based on cola, again cola controversy has hit the news.
Abt corporate, it was a movie that kept you interested. Starting from ruthless Nishi getting info from rival company by whatever means it takes.... the other CEO who wanted sex and tries to flirt with nishi and offer her job.... also 1 new comer manisha lamba though in small role with sameer ....
The scene that hits is middle class manisha lamba gets her parents to fivestar hotel and they compare the prices a typical middle class connection. a gud scence.
The moments between Nishi (Bipasha) n Kay Kay are rather sweet. A gud love story.
Madhur’s story generally has cynical characters of extremes... like CEO of the main company wants company of call girls provided by a media writer .... Another CEO does everything after consulting a baba even for wearing a ring he asks the baba to wear which ring in finger in the morning....
Also a minister wants an item girl for sex , deals that are cracked by taking bribes
The story is of 2 competition between 2 food companies ( Rajat Kapoor VS Raj Babar).
One favored by state government and another by central gvmt .... then comes foreign investment and Rajat kapoor with Bips n Kay kay gets the contract... it goes on....
Till interval I was wondering its bips who is using people, how promos say she is the victim, it is unfolded in the 2nd half that she becomes victim because of loyalty ...and pays for it.
In the end, because of bad cola launched by her company, bips has to agree to save the CEO... and finally a compromise is reached between both companies thro politicians but she is the pawn and is suffering and KK who is her lover when wants to get justice for her, he is brutally killed by rajat kapoor his own brother in law.... and in the end bips is left along to face trials of court...
Though the movie is not very realistic as we can’t believe a person as ruthless as nishi can sign the documents....
But we do get some kind of characters like harsh chaya who r honest to principals n leaves job for the same.
Actingwise, Bips is real gud though at time she may not be as expressive but over all gud and beautiful n sexy in her business suits also.
KK after a bit slow start in the movie, is very gud towards the end. shows all emotions of anger, frustration, helplessness etc. He is one actor to watch for.
All other Harsh chayya, Rajat kapoor, raj babbar, the ministers, the baba all play their part beautifully.
Minisha lamba (yahan fame), samir datani , payal rohtagi does small cameo...
Also the persons doing small chaprasi jokes are as cul as page3 driver jokes..
Direction is gud and editing gud.....
Both songs are gud.. though sikander song is gud to hear but it does not gel well with the situation in the movie still I love the song.
Its worth a dekho ..though I would have preferred some happy end... but its much much better than kabhi alvida na kahena.....
