Corina Corina is exactly the kind of movie that catch you from the start to the end!
The story of an orphelin girl that the dad is seeking for a nanny to help him , with her, and ends up falling in love with the nanny , is maybe a story that has been told a zillion of times but what makes Corina Corina different is its simplicity.......
And a simple story told in a simple way always gives more space to the actors to show their full acting skills...the little girl breaks your heart with her sincere and yet mindblowing display of her sad emotions since she speaks rarely at least for the first half of the film........Molina plays the role of the helpless father who doesn’t know how to deal with his girl because him self can’t get over the loss of his wife ...his natural act makes you beleive the strugle of the man and brings your sympathy.....but the real surprise of the film is Woopy Gooldberg!
I have never expect her to play the role of a woman , as a woman, and not as a different woman like she did in many of her movies.......the way she portrayed corina was simlpy excellent......
not to mention the great chemestry bettwen the tree of the lead actors....it’s simply , again, amazing......
Placing the story in the sixties era was a brilliant idea....it spreads magic to the climax of the film and welcomes the nostalgic people to the ride ........even with all the political tention of that time........you really feel hope about the kind human nature.......
I’m really surprised to release that i’m the first one to write a review of corina corina....but nevermind, i’m also glad to be the first one to make you, maybe, wanna see the film!
All I can say, it’s a film that worth a watch if your are looking for a good romantic ride ........i assure you, you won’t be disapointed....
Personnaly, i have seen it twice.......and i’ll always be pleased to see it again........
