Last year, my family decided to have a vacation in a forest locale. We have had several vacations earlier at Club Mahindra resorts at Coorg and Munnar. Wanting a change of resorts, we opted for Country Club. That was the biggest mistake of our lives. After having been used to services of Club Mahindra, this place was such a flop. It was like a cheap imitation of Club Mahindra.
The resort is shabbily maintained. The rooms have a particular stench which lingers on even when you are oustide. the bathrooms are like a nightmare. Urinour odor even after the house keeping cleans it several times over. A huge bathtub in the bathroom, but so many dirty stains on it, you won’t even feel like standing there, forget having a bath. A huge put off.
We were yet to face the worse. We ordered food. The menu was limited. After placing the order, we waited patiently for the food to come to our rooms. But when we called after 45 minutes, we realized that the staff were confused about which room had placed the order. Finally the food came, about 1-1/2 hours after we had placed the order. Can you beleive it, it came in paper plates. Soggy bread omelletes. Omeletes stuck onto the bread with fevicol or something. We definately had enough.
The safari which they said they would plan for us was cancelled as somebody else had booked the car before us. Imagine, you run a resort, you expect so many guests, but you organize only 1 car per day for safari. that was it.
We took the first opportunity the next morning, the bags were already packed as we never unpacked them and headed straight back to bangalore.
Club Mahindra is definately the best.
