This is probably the worst travel agency ever. I went with my college for a trip to HK, Macao and Shenzhen through Cox and Kings. The intitial price quoted to us was 67, 100/-.
Once we reached HK, they asked us to pay in order to visit Madam Tussards, truth is, we had already paid for it before the trip, but they simply denied the fact. They need a better accountant. While the trip was good it was soley cuz of the beauty the places and not cuz of the way Cox and Kings managed the show. They have a lot to learn.
It wasn’t difficult to figure out their strategy - Give an unbelievably low price in the beginning and then increase it. How they did this was very smart. They told us that they were going to book they tickets at $1US = Rs48/- (given price in Feb. When u pay the money for a trip, you expect it to be booked soon enough. They claim that they had booked the ticket in advance itself but it is only the rupee value which depreciated which caused them to ask for more money.
OKAY. All this, upto an extext I can tolerate. But they come to us on 22nd April 2012, the day before the trip and ask us to pay Rs.4, 250/-. They say that since the rupee has depreciated to $1US = Rs.54/- We have to pay the balance amount. Bunch of liars, the value of rupee on 22 April 2012 was Rs.52.06. When parents protested, instead of replying in a diplomatic manner for whatever reasons they might have, the person actually lost his cool and hurled abuse at the parents who sat in a packed auditorium.
This travel agency should learn one thing, just cuz we’re college students they cannot afford to take us for a ride.
Unless, I lose all my self respect and my value for money I would never travel with them ever again.
