Who should be blamed ?

The mega event in the world of cricket is going on and what a ending of the first round it was. Was it sad or Was it funny or as expected ? As far as the Indian Team is concerned most of them would like to settle happily. But what about who deserve much more than what is now the history.

The next round of this tournament will not witness teams like South Africa, Pakistan, England and West Indies. Do you think they really did not performed in this tournament and paid the price or something else bothered them. Well let’s look at what were the major cause which forced them to pull out of this tournament.

South Africa: The host of this mega event never came into act as they are known for. A perfectly balanced team with worldwide recognised allrounders like Kallis, the captain Shaun Pollock himself and others. Surely the pressure being the local team could be the major cause on them. But again Kenya and Zimbabwe too are the local teams. And what else worse could happen when they were making themselves up for this tournament in the match against Sri Lanka, what a cruel part the weather played. Losing in World Cup by 1 run and thus are out of this tournament. Sounds very funny but true. Were they enough unlucky for all this years in every World-Cup to give away in front of weather ?

Pakistan: Surely this team never came up to their strength in the tournament. Betted at No. 3 as the strong contenders of the much heavy 11 Kgs. gold cup. Is the reason for lack on unity between them ? Or once again the weather disturbed the confidence and morale of the players ? But again what more bad it could be that the ’RAIN’ played more important part than any other 22 players from the team in their last game.

West Indies: Huh !! What a impressive opening match was won by this team against South Africa. All Kudos to one of the best batsman in the world ’Brian Lara’ And what a result they got against much average team Bangladesh. Two points because again ’RAIN’ played the important part. At the end the result, out of the tournament because of lack of this two points.

England: After much controversy against Zimbabwe for security reasons, this team were most likely to qualify for the next round even after losing from World Champions Australia in a close tight finish. Courtesy - their best run rate. But what worse could have happen. As usual ’RAIN’. Did anyone thought in the last game of Pakistan and Zimbabwe, the latter will go in the next round.

After analysing all these situations who should be blamed ? The Players - for not performing ? Or the ICC for poor scheduling of the World Cup at a place where ’Weather’ played the most important part than anyone else and having no ’Reserve’ Day so any of these matches could happen again. Or the ’GOD’ himself ? For favouring few of them.

After all this will it be the right thing to point a finger on the captains of this team for not qualifying and sacking them ? Many things which are required to be given serious thoughts.

And last but not the least, will there be the same kind of charm and entertainment for the rest of the tournament. We hope so !!!!
