One more ind-pak series over, Many people thinking of a 3-0 whitewash before it started and it looked probable as well, Ind with all the great guns, and pakistan, a new relatively inexperienced side without shoaib akhtar, but the result as we all know, more of a defeat for india than a draw. It was not a defeat of a cricketing side but a defeat of a whole nation’s trust and hopes, which 11 guys could not carry.....
I here analyze player by player.....
1. Sehwag... Superb Knocks in mohali and bangalore, tried hard to lift the team and the game, but no avail, his hard record in second innings continues... His value in the team can be gauged from the fact that the indian team gave up the hopes of winning the match at bangalore as soon as he got out...
2. Dravid.. Great temperament, technique, but what happens to this guy as soon as he comes to bangalore... But he is the one who always puts up a fight.
3. Anil Kumble.. Superb effort by this man but in bangalore it was his batting that tried and his bowling left a lot to be desired...
4. Balaji.. The way he took over pathan as the strike bowler was amazing and I just love his smile...
5. Dinesh Karthik-- This guy showed he has the guts in kolkata scoring a good knock, but I was disappointed when he missed the landmark a few steps short. Promising behind the stumps but his peer, Kamran akmal did greeaat...
6.Harbhajan Singh.--Tried very hard to come into the game on the second day at bangalore, but leaving that nothing much from the turbnator this time even at the edens...
7. Sachin Tendulkar--Being a great fan of him, can not digest the fact that he is running for his 35th more than anything else..But nothing seems more probable. But Bangalore was much more than that, the pain too immense..
8. Gautam Gambhir.. Someone should tell this guy that he is not on the picth to compete with sehwag, tries a lot of things and ends up with nothing...
9. VVS Laxman-- Its so tough to believe how far a double hundred can take you, showed great guts in coming out in edens with a sore eye but his tactics in the first innings in bangalore with the tailenders were spurious..
10. Irfan Pathan - totally lacked the spirit that could destroy the world. Underperformance is what I have to say.
11. Zaheer khan- had some good spells, but pakistan ruined his chances of playing in 2n and 3rd tests..
- Last and the most ---------The Bengal Tiger-----GANGULY----this guy says that its his confidence with which he hopes to beat everyone, no talent required, no technique required, just the confidence.... though I agree he is a good captainm, But do something with ur batting, But anyways I am not concerned too much till india is winning (but only till).....
So thats my analysis of the series looking into different players.. overall a great series, enjoyed every bit of it....
