Another reality show from Sony.in the lines of fame gurukul. Only difference is this time its cricket and not music or dance. Their aim is to hunt for one cricket talent who is "Lakhon mein EK".
Hosted by runner up of Jhalak Dikh La Ja Shweta Salve and ace cricketer Ajay Jadeja. 23 contestants or rather cricket talents were chosen from across the country and put in the academy. The academy is headed by Robin Singh. These were divided in two teams and made to compete with each other every week in 20-20 format. Each week 2 of the weekest get eliminated. There is an expert team of Sanjay Manjerakar and Kapil Dev who are the selectors. The one who is the winner gets a chance to represent a county team.
The contest laid down the rules that the participants have to be from the grass roots level and must have not played or represented any state in any of the levels. Two of the contestants - Maarkesh & Chandra had to leave the academy for flauting these rules.
Pro would be probably this show gives platform to commoner to perform. Also they get to benefit from the tips and guidance of the cricket aces. Con is definately the team mates votingout the weekest link each week. Surely there is bound to be favorotism, jealousy and own interest before any other factor, as is with other reality shows.
