I reproduce here what has been on my blog sites for years. After which, Ill write my current comments.

What can I say about the bunch of hobos who straight-jacket alligators in nets, and then proceed to play tag with it, ostensibly to take ‘scientific’ measurements of its nostrils; then, transport it away from its near and dear ones to an alien swamp, with a jute bag tied around its head “to reduce stress”!? (Or, even those pet owners who teach (train) puppies to roll over on demand.) After crocs and snakes, that Steve Irwin guy has even started bullying camels, I see. And this terribly irritating couple has now set their sights on the sea too, irritating the mickey out of dolphins too! With a face and manner of speech like his, its little wonder why no one will employ him or that clueless wife of his, Terri, who follows him around lambishly.
Theres this Brady guy too whos shaped himself into a Irwin clone (what an ideal role model!). Last I saw him, he was crawling into croc burrows. After a half-hour stint, he concluded with all the genius of a modern day Einstein, "no burrows, no muggers". Wonder how hed feel being dragged out of his home by a noose around his stupid mug?
I saw one of these imbeciles who claim to be animal lovers happily wrestling a crocodile because a newspaper ad needed someone who could do it - no doubt, with the croc heavily sedated. Another guy set out some meat as bait for a lion pair and put a video camera nearby in the hope of catching them devouring the meat, but the lions were more keen on the camera and carried it away. Our animal expert thought nothing of tranquilizing the lion in order to retrieve his precious camera.

While I may have been a tad too scathing in my comments, I really feel odd that these conservationists, while carrying out the good work they do, go fame-crazy and treat the animals as a circus act - when animals in circuses have been banned.
In closing mention of Steve Irwin, I write as below: (I may sound heartless, but mishandling animals as playthings doesnt amuse or impress me. Steve was one man, but there are countless animals whom we humans we continue to slaughter and are answerable to)
While Steve Irwins death was tragic as any unnatural death is, and while I never thought much of the circus tricks he used to indulge in, I feel he had his heart in the right place as far as animals are concerned. His methodology was all wrong and he went overboard trying to make name, fame and money in the process. I hate to say this, but he had this coming to him, one way or the other. Most crocs will be very pleased to hear that Steve wont be around to pester them any more. Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" series must be a top-of-the-charts horror show for crocs of all ages, from the crocs point of view. All said and done, thats the critics part of it. My heart goes to his kids who lost a good father owing to his sheer stupidity.
Steve, you had human failings your heart was in the right place. R.I.P.
