I have purchased Voltas split AC from Tata Croma Belapur store, Navi Mumbai in March 2012. During purchase I was convinced by sales person to purchase TATA CROMA extended warranty which would cover product service and defects for additional 2 years, that is 3 years from date of purchase. Hence I have purchased 2 year extended warranty by paying Rs 1700/- extra.
Recently my AC are not cooling and called the voltas service team for repair and the engineer has attended the call within 4 hour of my complaint registration.
But he has informed me that extended warranty is given from croma is not from voltas and hence they will charged out of warranty charges for any repair or replacement of parts. Therefore I have logged complaint to croma help desk and got the automatic complaint acknowledgement also. But in-spite of my daily followup no body has attended the problem till date. I dont know whether my complaint would be resolved by TATA CROMA team or not as I am not getting any reply also.
This I had not expected from the most ethical brand in the world, that is TATA brand. Hence I would request all buyers not to repeat my mistake and do not purchase TATA CROMA EXTENDED WARRANTY and opt only for the warranty provided by the equipment manufacturers like LG, Samsung, Voltas etc for any item purchased from TATA CROMA.
