Music at its best!!!!!!

Here let me take u to the ’’Crossroad’’ The very best of Bon Jovi (BJ) . A collection of 15 of their all time best tracks spanning over a period of 10 years. For some reason Richie Sambora , lead guitarist of the band, felt that the album should be called ’’Elvis is dead, But We’re Not’’. Thankfully, Jon & the rest of the band didnt like the idea and finally ’’Crossroad’’ was made the name. There are various versions of Crossroad available released in 94.

Let me go according to the order of the songs on my copy of the album.

1)Living on a prayer: The album starts off with arguably the most popular BJ song ever. There r about 4 versions to this song .A studio, live, acoustic and finally a ballad version.Just a damn brilliant song.Gets the hairs on the back of your neck stand up! Rate it a (10/10).

2)Keep the Faith:This song was all pure rock. Has that lovely bass playing all through the song.Great lyrics, Inspiring music. Give it a (8/10)

3)Someday I’ll be Saturday Night:This was 1 of the new tracks added to this album.A song of hope with super, heartfelt lyrics .God, how does Jon write such good lyrics?Hats off to him! Must be Jon’s humble background(his father was a hairdresser) that made him understand the hard truths of life. That what makes BJ music so good, their good lyrics which by now we have come to expect of. Amazing Music too .Excellent guitar work by Richie in this track.

4)Always:The second new track on the album. Many regard it to be 1 of the best love songs ever, also is their most famous love ballad to date.David piano work shines here.Richie strikes a very melancholic note with the guitars.Jon is almost crying emotion into these words.Amazing lyrics!(9/10)

5)Wanted dead or alive:Wanted dead or alive : Jon’s favourite song this. Great track again with much to read between the lines. At that moment their lives were really hard. Nobody cared if they were dead or alive. They just wanted keep them to keep on playing(8/10)

6)Lay your hands on me:A lesser known track but nevertheless a nice hard rocking feel good song. Those big guitars flow again and the cheesy lyrics hit a good note .(8/10)

7)U give love a bad name:Another rock anthem masterpiece.Perfect lyrics, powerful vocals by Jon and backing vocals by Richie and the rest can create mayhem anywhere. (10/10)

8)In & Out of Love:One of BJ’s earliest hits that should never be forgotten. Not a total favourite of mine. Nevertheless, great lyrics again.(8/10)

9)Bed of Roses: Well, what do I say about this song? Just simply marvellous, exquisite. Written by Jon, gives ’Always’ a run for its money for the ultimate love song title. I personally like it better than Always. This song has a story behind it.Jon wrote this one after a fight with his wife, Dorothea , while he was at a hotel with a tremendous hangover. This song is perfect both lyrically & musically.(11/10)

10)Blaze of Glory:The odd appearance in this album b’cos it is actually from Jon’s solo album Young Gun’s 2 Soundtrack.Lyrics amaze again.Visually stunning video too.Real cowboy stuff.Wonderful music .(9/10)

11)In these arms: I just adore this song for its simple https://lyrics.It starts off as a slow ballad but soon we realise its a power ballad.’’Like the roses need the rain, like the seasons need the change, like the poet needs the pain, I need u in these arms tonight’’. This part appeals to me the most.(11/10)

12)Bad Medicine:A nice concert tune, a little different from the other BJ songs. Not a total favourite of mine.Always felt there was enough room for the ballad ’’I believe’’ from the ’’Keep The Faith’’ album. But hey no complaints .Cant ask for more(7/10)

13)I’ll be there for U: More good lyrics, good romantic number easy on the ears. (8/10)

14)Runaway:Bon Jovi’s first hit which marked the start of new era of mainstream hard rock. A demo single released on local radio much to the band’s surprise got aired and led the band to sign up with Polygram and the rest was history.Catchy li’l number that went gold in the US.(8/10)

15)Never say Goodbye:A fitting end to the album, lovely ballad with lyrics to match.I wouldnt want BJ to say goodbye to making music though.(8/10)

Bon Jovi is one of the world’s greatest rock bands.U will know y when u lend your ears to this international multi platinum best seller. I have to give this album a 10/10.This album will always be on top on my CD rack.A must buy!!!
