Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is breathtaking movie with a mythical tale. It’s about a renowned warrior, Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-Fat), who has dedicated his life to avenging the murder of his Wudan master, slain by a notorious fighter named Jade Fox (Cheng Pei-pei).
The movie is an epic filled with action, adventure, romance, conflict, drama, and mystique from beginning till end. There are several subplots that come together to tell one, big, unforgettable tale. There is Jade Fox who is just making everybody’s life hell. Then there is the romance that just can not be - between Li Mu Bai and Yu. And then there is Jen (Zhang Ziyi). Nothing but a long string of adjectives can describe this young woman. She is beautiful, intelligent, intriguing, naughty, strong, and downright complex, burdened with an arranged marriage living a double life as a Good Samaritan and a deadly martial artist
The movie is marvelously has truly impressive martial arts scenes ever seen on film. If you thought Matrix was great, then this is the greatest. Filmed in China the landscape are tall mountains to the spanning desert, from clear waters to vibrant greenery.
It sure was fun watching the film.
