We were expecting our first child in Jan’15 and like every parent we wanted the safety of our child. So after hearing about stem cell preservation we also decided to go for it. We had heard about Cryobank we called the company and had a representative Mr Amir visit us at our home and take us through the product features. He also offered us some freebies if we went for the product and used the one time payment method. Freebies like:
i)4 years extra storage ii) Scratch card iii) free Neo screening iv)5000 discount on overall package v) Gift vouchers worth Rs 5000
We paid the cheque for advance, and post dated cheques for the rest amount. We informed them about the date of delivery and the concerned person arrived at the hospital to collect the samples. We also got a confirmation that the samples were collected and sent to the Gurgaon lab. We were told that after the sample is collected successfully a certificate will be sent to us.
We did not hear for 2 months after that, the concerned person in Pune Mr Amir would keep on promising date after date but no certificate came. Later my wife escalated the matter by directly calling the Gurgaon office. The lady their escalated the matter and finally after multiple follow ups we got the certificate in April.
The gift vouchers of Rs 5000 were never sent, we called Amir but he stopped picking our calls. We then called Gurgaon office but were told that they are not aware of any such plan. Our receipt of confirmation which was given by their employee(Mr Amir) has all the freebies listed on that.
Given their unprofessional behaviour I am extremely dissatisfied with this company. After charging so much money if this level of unprofessionalism is not expected.
Not sure what to expect if we had to fall back for the samples at a later stage in life when a certificate comes after multiple follow-ups and escalations.
