After conducting all rounds of interviews and tests, the HR will make you sign a 2 year contract. They say that they will provide training worth 5-7 Lakhs for which they have the nerve to ask for a post dated cheque of 80K. Which to me seemed absolutely ridiculous. About the training, they don’t provide any training whatsoever. What they do is they make you attend team-wise presentations where the team members try and convince you how hard working they are and how their teams contribution is vital for Cvent which you will later find out to be utter non-sense. Then there are the sessions with the marketing head Karan Saxena which were of no use at all, he simply brags on about how he was the first employee in marketing, details regarding IRCEL, CSN, Biz-Dev and blah-blah-blah.
The Marketing Research team is a joke in Cvent. They say that they do research but its all just copy-paste. In your tenure you won’t learn anything. It gets so monotonous that any time you sit on a PC your left hand would automatically fall on ctrl+c and ctrl+v. All day you would simply be digging the internet and searching for new links. The work that the CSN team does is that they simply copy-paste info from supplier website to the tool which does not require any brains, it can be done by a 5th grader, and they want to hire MBA’s for that. Seniors in the marketing team have no knowledge of either marketing or team handling.
I would not recommend anyone to Cvent, especially for Marketing. I had to lie a lot in my CV to get a proper job elsewhere. The career graph will hit such a low that it will be hard to recover from.
