Last summer I travelled for the 1st time on Cyprus Airways from Jeddah to London Heathrow via Larnaca.. I chose it because I wanted to try a new airline instead of my usual tradition of going on Saudi Airlines which rn’t really good at all!!
So as soon as we boarded the A319 plane, I was suprised with the cleaness of the plane , it was absolutely SPOTLESS!! Then upon seating , the F.A came 2 take our jackets and asked what pre-departure drinks we would like..
Safety video was played before take-off and headsets wer given out.. After departure, as soon as the seat belt sign was off, a round of drinks was given , even though we just had one b4 departure! After 35mins , the meals were given out and I was suprised that my requested meal was delivered to my seat which asking for it! I mean usually u gotta tell the F.A tht u have a requested meal but no , I just got it and it wasn’t wrong! Vegeterian meal consisted of Potato Aloo Tooki, vegetables cooked in a medditerranean spice mix and the usual bun and butter, etc... Desert was a piece of chocolate cake which was delicious..
The flight entertainment was really good even though they wer just Overhead screens, but good films wer shown + excellent and up-to-date music was put on the audio channels.
Landing at Larnaca was smooth.. Buses moved us to the small terminal wer we wer issued boarding passes for our on-going flights.. The thing about cyprus airways is that their flights are EXACT ON TIME!
Boarded the new A330 , flight was full , each seat has its own PTV, seat config. was 2-4-2 , clean aircraft.. The same was done on this flight ’’pre-depature drinks, etc....’’ , meal was surved like 45mins later and it was cheese omlette with mushrooms and tomatoes, honestly it was AMAZING!!
Flight entertainment was very good but not excellent though.. 3 English movies wer available.. Landing at LHR was 10 before schedule.. The only thing that I didn’t like about this trip was the baggage collection at LHR , I don’t think its coz of the airline, I think its coz of the LHR Baggage Handling System! Anyways my flight was superb..
