Day 1: We were received by an unprofessional guide whose bad attitude was enough to turn our moods down. She took 2 tours to gather everyone and proceed to KL. Then we were taken to a restaurant whose breakfast was awful and waiters were quite hostile. They simply categorized us away sitting from most of the tables. The dinner was good at Gateway of India restaurant.
Day 2: Sunway Lagoon park: The tickets we were provided were inclusive of 3 theme parks out of 5. They tried to save a few dollars there without informing us in the package. When I opted the superior package, I expected everyday and everything to be superior but it was a let down. Dinner: We were taken to dinner at Olive tree restaurant. We were stopped at the entrance by the waiter saying we have to sit outside in the open since we are from D Pauls.
Day 3: City tour of KL: We were taken to most sick and useless places like Geneva watch showroom and Batu caves. We were asked to take lunch at Batu caves which was totally occupied by cheap Tamil restaurants. The place was dirty, without any Air conditioned Restaurant and we had no other option but to fill our stomach with south Indian food. Highly unorganized! Next, bigger disappointment for the day, was check-in to First World Hotel in Genting. The hotel room was a standard category room. It was such a small room with very basic amenities. The bed was a Twin bed. I am sure nobody would expect this in Superior package? Day 4: The day went joyful because there was no interference from Guide Nirmala.
Day 5: Transfer to Singapore: It was a 7 hour long journey from Genting to Singapore. We were so tired travelling in the bus and then we came to know that the bus will first drop 3 couples to hrbour point. We wasted at least 2 hours there before reaching Park Royale at Kitchener road. They could have been transferred in a separate taxi? Again, bigger disappointment of the day, when I checked in to room in Park Royale hotel, to find out that we were provided twin beds again!
I rushed to the reception to talk to the Dpauls representative but he had left. There was no one to help and I had to wait 1.5 hours standing on the reception waiting for someone for help. Our room was changed after a long argument and confusion.
Dpauls representatives there simply stated that its not our fault. You are not mentioned as honeymooners in their list. Finally I checked in the new room at 5 PM and I had to get ready by 6 for night Safari. I could not enjoy it because I was so tired. Day 6: I had to miss city tour of Singapore because of such a tiring day yesterday. Afternoon trip to Sentosa: We were taken and shown only limited rides.
Why were we not given a daily pass so that we could spend the time ourselves. We had to run after the guide all the time like school children.
Day 7: It was left on our own. Day 8: Return to Delhi: We had to wait 4 hours in KL to catch a flight to Delhi. We could have been provided a direct flight from Singapore to Delhi. We spent whole day in travelling. I chose Dpauls because I heard they are awarded for services to Singapore/Malaysia.
