-Being a sports lover, choosing a dth becomes a difficult task.
-As sports channels are costliest among all dth service providers.
-I was fed up with my local cable service and decided to go for a dth service.
-So I called all my friends who are using this service from different operators.
-Got reviews from them on almost all available operators(Tata sky, dishtv, airtel, Big tv).
-Zeroed in to Dish TV but then I heard of Videocon d2h.
-Going further deep I found out that Videocon provides the cheapest packages as compared to other operators.
-Initial cost is also less expensive with respect to its competitors.
-So brought it on 1st November 2010.
Pros :----> I am super impressed with its picture quality, it uses MPEG-4 with DVB S2 digital compression technology.
----> Signal strength is excellent.
----> Menu navigation is very user friendly.
----> Have felt slight disturbance for 2-3 minutes during heavy rains, which is a good thing as I have heard other operators goes off air completely.
----> After sales service is also nice.
----> Best service at cheapest price
Cons:----> It takes some time(1-2 mins) in initial start up.(Though I am getting used to it)
----> Remote could have been sleek.
----> Recharge coupons are not easily available near my place(Kaushambi), though I recharge on internet so not a big deal.
And for those who don’t believe that its the cheapest dth service, please check the videocon d2h Wikipedia page it clearly says:
"It provides one of the cheapest dth services in India and the package rates are low in comparison to other dth providers."
Initially I paid Rs. 1700 for whole installation which includes all the charges and 3 months platinum package free(This package has all the channels specially all sports channels).
Platinum packages its self cost Rs. 295 per month including taxes, and I would leave rest of the calculation part on your side :D
Now, i have shifted to Bangalore and I am planning to buy Videocon D2h here also. Will write a review soon, for the same :)
And for those who live in Delhi and NCR, go for Videocon d2h, its simply the best, as of now. :D
Sam :)
