William Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770 at cockermouth in Cumberland. He attended the infants school in Penrith.Wordsworth started his poetic career with the poem, " Guilt And Sorrow". But his first important poetic composition was " An Evening Walk" which was published in 1793. "I wondered lonely as acloud " is a lyric poem by Wordsworth. It is Wordsworth most famous work. The poem was inspired by an event on 15 April 1802, in which Wordsworth an his sister Dorothy came across a " long belt " of doffodils.
