When I heard about Dance Premier League, I thought that there we go with one more reality shows getting people together in the wake of’talent’ and making them perform in front of judges who dont know squat about anything.
But then when I first saw the show on Sony I was in for a big surprise. The show from the word go is MASSIVE. I mean to get 6 teams competing from all across India(not forgetting the NRI’s too) is an out an out original concept. The auditioning process was superb and I think the dancers which were selected were really good. The judges like Rani Mukherjee and Shiamak Davar are a perfect choice I feel. The stage set is really cool and I think there must have been great amount of efforts by the production team to get that done.
Its becoming a craze, infact one of my friend told me that they have been doing huge amount of on the internet with their facebook pages having great number of fans and tweeting regularly and keeping updated. Its giving tough fight to colors Bigg Boss Season 3.
All in all, Sony TV’s Dance Premier League is one of the most original reality show to hit Indian television and I think the way its going it will surely be having its next season planned soon.
