It is a real story about a father Mahavir Phogat( Aamir Khan) lives in Haryana with his wife Sakshi.
Mahavir is an amateur wrestler and has won several local championships. but due to money problem, he give his wresting and work in a office.
Mahvir dream was that his son won a gold medal for nation. but he doesn’t have boy, he have only 4 daughters
One day he realise that medal is medal and doesn; t matter where he was won by a boy or daughter. so he start training her daughter. but there daughters doesn’t have any interest on wrestling. so they always disturb her father during training. but they realise that her father was right. so after that they start training and won some medal and respect in his district. but when her elder daughter Geeta qualify the national level in wrestling and went to national coaching for there futher matches and at ladt she won the title of first women won gold medal.
