Darjeeling is located in extreme north of west bengal. I had visited there few years back. Today I will share you my experiences about the tour that may help you for planning.
Started jouney from sealdah station riding padatik express at night time. Arrived new jalpaiguri station next day in the morning. By completing breakfast hired a car for darjeeling.
Reached darjeeling afternoon at 4.00 o clock. There are hundreads of good hotels arround mall road. We took one near to mall. Rate of hotels are little high as it was very near to mall road. You can search for cheaper hotels a little far from mall road.
Sunrise, sunset were very clear from room as it was a view room.
Never missed a single day for sunrise. You must plan for view sunrise from top of tiger hill which will surely amaze you. Red sunrays touched queen Kanchenjunga’s peaks will definitely amaze you.
Beauty of nature will blow your mind. You will get very cold, at winter time temperature falls upto zero.
In local sight seeing you can choose zoo, Kanchenjunga falls, rock garden, batasia loop etc. Every points are very attractive and beautiful.
Worlds highest train station ghoom junction is located here. You can enjoy beauty of nature while riding toy train.
In a sentence I can advice you its a must place to visit.
