Darjeeling, a magnificent Queen of hills

Darjeeling is a small hill station in the state of West Bengal in India. Darjeeling is also called the Queen of hills. It is a beautiful place from where we can get the clear view of the snow clad Mt. Kanchenjunga. It has many places to be visited like Tiger Hill from where you  can see the sunrise in the Eastern sky. The Mirik Jheel is a beautiful place for boating among the hills. The Toy Train is a joy ride that takes the tourist form Darjeeling to Ghum on a British build coach which is also declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1999. The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park in Darjeeling is suited for captive breeding snow leopard, Himalayan wolf and red pandas and is "the central hub for Central Zoo Authority of India’s red panda program". On returning back form the zoological park you must visit the Mall road to get the beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga. The Chowrasta(meaning the four roads) is a place where you can sit and enjoy the cold weather of the hills and watch the people rush to and fro going on their own way or people loitering around for fun. Here we can also get a horse ride all around the mall road so you can get the view of the Kanchenjunga on the horse back.

Darjeeling is famous for its tea and you can find tea gardens all the way as you climb up on the steep roads toward the Darjeeling town.

Darjeeling has  real beauty just like a Queen who wears a crown of the snow clad Kanchenjunga and a green gown of Pine trees and tea bushes woven with the lace of the river Teesta.

I love to visit this place.
