Darna mana is a truly entertaining movie. it is not a great movie, but a good movie. As long as you are watching the movie it is very engrossing and involving.
The thing that I liked the most about darna mana hai was that they did not try to link the six stories of the movie with the main plot. These stories are narrated by a group of friends whose car breaks down in a jungle.
The group comprises of some oversmart idiots (Sameera reddy and Gaurav) some dum idiots ( ONe woman and one guy) and some absolute dumbos (another woman and another guy). But the chemistry is quite decent. After their car breaks down these people take shelter in some run down place, burn a campfire and start telling stories.
This is when the fun starts. I won’t get into the details of the stories, but some of them make you really restless and sometimes scared. Especially superb are saif ali khan and boman irani, raghuvir yadavand nana patekar. Most ridiculous are shilpa shetty and aftab.
But I really enjoyed the story of people turning into apples and just wondered what would I do if everyone in the world has turned into an apple and I am the last man standing?
The editing and music is not a great as other ram gopal verma movies but again he is not the director. The end is quite stupid but by then you are at the edge of your seat.
Broadly put a movie more than worth a watch
