Watch for kamal hassan

Title: dasavatharam

tagline: interesting story but bad execution

script: there is a novelty in the script. chaos theory is demonstrated. morality is seen in parts. overall a good script.

execution: with a good script, one must see the required thrills and connection with the story in somehow or the other way. the execution is very bad and seemed dragged a lot. nearly 3 hour movie.

direction and screenplay: k.s ravikumar and vasu have done a good job. controlled acting by all. the screenplay is poor in 2nd half.

casting: kamal hassan is the sole performer. rest were there to fill the space.

technical values: only 2 songs are worth humming. background score is average. editing is abrupt and cut a lot lacking the tone and connectivity, 2nd half is a full drag riot. cinematography is neat. cgi effects are good. psunami sequence is highlight of the movie. rest depts are ok

production values: nearly 60 crores invested is seemed high. lack of content in the 2nd half is the main reason for the struggle to make profits. however kamal hassan can be the saviour.

entertainment value; the movie has no comedy at all. it is completely serious and kamal donned 10 roles in a simple chaos theory based script. watch for kamal hassan. forget the story and connectivity.

final analysis: movie begins well. lacks the tone in the 1st half. 2nd half is again bad. the climax is good and interesting. kamal hassan can only save the movie. overall rating 2.75/5
