First Impression of 12 AD picturization made me feel that film is going in the right direction of sensation. But when it started picturizing the scenes in tamilnadu, film was getting horrible. And at last tsunami effect and the messages it conveyed made it disastrous.
Film started with a narration of an empire of 12 AD. Incidents and Kamals appearance made audience think whether they really happened or not. Song Scenes were good but song was too bad to hear.
Then the play continued to show some funny incidents at Biomedical Labs in US, about swallowing of most dangerous bio - weapon in the form of a tablet. Then Villian comes with a nice mask made of "kadala maavu" with a "big" head compared to his body. He made me remember about the real villian of Hollywood Film "Mask".
Other avataars followed displaying the poor standard of "make up" in Tamil film industry. The hype created only helped theatre people to sell more black tickets. Myself and my friends are their preys. Story was only to incorporate and make sure the appearance of all avataars. There was no logic or common sense applied during the making of film.
Atlast tsunami attack was shown as the grace from God to disable the bio - weapon. All avataars including George Bush weared a mask which tried to hide Kamal behind the characters. What made them direct a film with 10 avataars is the last unanswered question in front of me.
Is it made just for making a film with 10 avataar for publicity or to make people rethink before watching a Kamal movie? Asin played the role of a "barking silly village girl" throughout. Sardaarji and scientist were the only watchable avataars other than 12th century Kamal. Movie was heading nowhere after 1st half.
Bad Luck if you have committed to watch this comedy movie!
