DIVORCE, When this word comes to anybodys mind(forget the sadists for a moment) you dont get a very pleasent or buoyant feeling. What you feel is sudden depression and sadness.
Well I feel it will be very easy for anybody to opine on divorce but giving the right opinion will be very difficult since its not a very simple concept!
Today the rate of divorce is increasing tremendously esppecially in the west and also to a certain extent in countries like India for many many reasons. I feel you cant think about divorce in a black and white way because circumstances play a wide and vital role in decisions.but still according to me if the case can be worked out and solved, a divorce for casual and irrespsonsible reasons is not justified, which I feel is the case with many young couples today.
Shallow reasons like infatuation and extramarital flings, boredome etc are according to me nort acceptable because(your) divorce can lead to very unhappy situations and unpleasent phases in the lives of many.especially the kids!
Following are according to me the 5 most significant reasons for the increasing rate of divorce cases today.
** 1. Intolerance. **
My generation has become extreamly intolerant and impatient due to the new wave of independence and freedom which can be a serious problem when in relationship and thus this according to me is the foremost reasons.
** 2. Casual approach. **
These days the aproach towards a affair is very casual and thus people tend to easily have 2-3 flings before marriage. There are often comments like’ this is just for fun yaar’. This was not the case earlier and such casual aproach towards affairs was unheard of.
** 3. Independence of women and feminism. **
Todays woman is cosmopolitin and many are financially independent and thus refuse to take crap from men(which is a thumbs up!) and thus dont tolerate chauvinistic acts like getting beaten up.
Also many men expect women to sit at home and look after children and cook for them which the women refuse to do and thus this difference of opinion can lead to a seperation.
** 4. Male chauvinism. **
Men have been using abusing and dominating women since the birth of humans because of physical strength, but since these days there has been strong opression from the other party and such nonsense is not tolerated anymore women have the guts to walk out if situation demands so! Crying and howling does not help is being understood!
** 5. Bohemian thaught and open thinking. **
Today divorce is not considered as a henious crime or a sin and thus more and more enstranged couples are opting for it since the society now considers it normal!
But is it really normal? That depends upon the circumstances, and if a marriage can be worked out then thats the best option I guess! But to make a marriage work the most important thing is respect and space.i guess!( I havent been married yet.lol)
