Dealing with bad results...

Did you hear the news!?Your friend exclaims as he calls ...

On 4th{he exclaims!!}is the time of your life...

A cold shiver runs down your spine as you ponder ...

Sigh!At last, the day has come.At last, your vacations

{or rather your life...lolz} is coming to an end .

The next immediate cheering thought is

’It had to come one or the other day?Why not on 4th then?’

But that certainly does not curtail your visits

to the nearby Mandir ...in fact it increases.

You can hear chattering ladies in the trains, neighbours

whom you had never seen before{but they claim of seing you},

long lost relatives and friends and many alike ...all ...

really all eager to know what numbers are printed on your

marksheet.

Why sooo much hype?

Why increase the tension already haunting in the poor

kid’s mind?

I have got nothing against anybody and feel really wanted

when someone asks about me and my results. But I would

like to mention that if your intention is to join someone

in their happiness or encourage them in their sorrow only

then bother asking.

Don’t just merely ask for the sake of asking or to have

enough knowledge for the evening gossip.I would like to

mention here that I really admire one of my friends who

called me up well in advance to relieve me of my tension

rather than just merely ask about marks.

Hmm...I think I am going away from the topic ...

Coming to the point...I have seen and experienced both the

ways...i.e.being successful as well as not being upto

the expectations and hence consider myself eligible to write

on this topic.

Apart from ,

  1. Being humble , on the earth and kind

2.Being firm on your choice, avoid looking down on underachievers

and thanking all those who have helped you achieve,

I can’t think of any more advice for achievers.

For those who feel they have not been upto the mark here

comes the dadiji advice from a kiddish person.

  1. If you are looking at these advices probably you consider

yourself an underachiever.

First and foremost...STOP THINKING that you are an

underachiever.Who told you that you are a failure?Learn to

neglect these people first !

2.Keep your marksheet away ...consider ...only for some time

that you are a winner...Ya ... a winner.I understand that

this may seem weird .But to be frank, only when you are happy

and satisfied you can make a right choice for yourself.Cry

all your might out!Release your feelings and let your loved

ones...I repeat ...your loved ones... know how you feel.

If they are cheering /criticising you, listen to it all.

I have read in my Hindi text book that the decision you make

after releasing your feelings are apt and suitable.

  1. Be alert and smart. Look for all the possible options

under your category of marks.Ask as many people as you want.

..enquire about the new courses and degrees.

Don’t hesitate to ask even the achievers about their future plans.

You might end up getting some valid information.

4.Fill up forms of those colleges you feel you will get

admission. Now, how do you know that? Well...ask the senior

students as well as the staff about the last year cut-offs

and the number of seats.By applying little logic, you will

have an idea about where you can hope for admission.Keep

in mind those minority quotas and reserved seats.{ though I

really despise this kind of reservation and feel that this

is clear injustice...How can a caste distinguish one student

from the other...ridiculous!}

5.Never...ever give up your dreams looking at your marks.

In our Indian system of education{which deserves another revu}

no importance is given to practical knowledge.

Just mug up and throw!

These crammers who end up getting high percentages in the

high school practically fail at professional courses.

6.Last but not the least...accept your weakness not

forgetting your strengths. If you have scored less...

don’t blame the examiner or your teachers.

Whatever has happened has happened!Even if you have given

your papers for revaluation there are less chances of your

marks increasing or so.Don’t live in the hope of getting

more marks .

Whatever happens is for your good.Analyse your past but

live in the present and plan for your future.

Respect God and all your prayers and believe in his plans

for you.

Good luck,

Bonjour
