The other day when I passed through my old college I saw a variety of faces..I saw happy faces, I saw sad faces, I saw dejected faces and I saw crying faces and it came to me immediately..The results were out and the students were just going through the emotions..It was a couple of years ago when I was one of the students standing on the corridor checking my results with my fingers crossed and would have suffered a breakdown if the results had been announced a couple of days later. The faces I saw that moment said it all. Some succeded and some failed..
Well what are these exams? Can anyone assess the calibre of a student with some questions in three hours..But then what else can be done. There is no otherway you can know where you stand..The concept of exam may sound absurd but I think it is effective to some extent.
Pre exam:Well this the most important when it comes to scoring in the exams..you may be brilliant, you may have an IQ of over 160 but it will not help your cause..Intense preparation is required right from the begining and equal concentration has to be given to all the subject..Nothing can substitue hardwork..It may seem easy sitting on the comfort of your room that it is after all 3 hour exam and you have got an year to prepare for it.But in the examination room those 3 hours will seem like eternity..You will seesm to know the answer but you will not know it..And once the exam is over, The exam is over..Thats it..Work hard and you will get what you deserve..
Once the exam is over never discuss the answers with your pals.It is a cardinal sin to do that. You might have commited mistakes and so let it remain that way..Every wrong answer will be a bomb dropped on you and your confidence will be completely shaken..Just go to your house and relax a bit..After all you have got another exam to face the next day..Keep the JOSH going for the full exam duration and keep out thuoghts like What will happen if I do not get a good score?..Such thougths willhamper your preparation for your forthcoming exams..
Post exams:Well exams are over and you have got all the time in the world to do things which you have been thinking you would do in the holidays.Well go ahead. You deserve this rest more than anyone else.Catch up with the movies and play computer games like there is no tommorow bt I know the thoughts of the exams will return to haunt you..But then that is the way it is..Just think that you have given your best and the results are not in your hand and hope for the best..
Post results:AH!The results are announced..You stammer up to the notice board to see your marks..Your knees are wobbly and your hands are shivering..On the way your best friends asks you Hey dude I got 93%..How much did you get?..Well It would be stupid if I say you that you remain calm...It is natural for anyone to have the above symptoms while seeing your results..Well the results may or may not be upto your expectation..Whatevr it may be maintain your composure and do not show any emotion on your face..Well if you have got great marks then you have crossed the first hurdle in your life..You ambitions might bcome true and you can become what you aspired to become..And well if your results are bad no probs..well it is not the end of road. You can not expect life to be a bed of roses..There will be ups and downs..take it in a stride and it is in the way you absorb the shock lies your mental strength..Failure is the stepping stone to success and so you are on oyur way to success Strive hard the next time and you will get the desired results..
And the role of parents is as important as the student himself..Be a motivator to your child and encourage him to become what he wants..Be his friend and propel your child to the greatest of heights. After all he is your child and no one understands him better than you do..
So guys what are you waiting for..Get your books and start reading..You still have a long way to go..
