Dear Zindagi” is an average movie till date. The people who are looking for a movie with strong story backbone are more likely to be interested in the subject. This is the Alia’s best movie ever. One can see a real life Alia connecting to the role played by her. Her character name is Kaira, who is a professional cinematographer. She is looking for a music video shoot. She gets a chance but that was a blessing in disguise. Kaira falls in love with a guy who had a past with a coworker in the project. This shatters Kaira and she goes on in exploring her inner self. Amidst of all these situations Kaira faces the family pressure of marriage and getting settled as all the adults face the same at some point in their lives. Kaira meets king khan as a psychologist to solve her problems. The role played by Shah Rukh is very short and he explains the philosophy of life. The movie gets boring in the second half and covers up in the climax. Thank god Shah Rukh is not paired up with Alia for romance. It seems to be very odd pair.
Dear Zindagi could have been a better movie. It’s at very slow pace. At some point the audience feel themselves less connected and feel like moving out of the theatre. This movie may be liked by only youth who can understand the psychology of life. The movie turns out to be very philosophical at the end. It seems not worth for watching both in terms of money and time. The movie starts by throwing a light on a women’s life that how a girl involves in multiple relationship and how the society interprets it. This is an often repeated subject in Bollywood. In short Dear Zindagi doesn’t bring anything new to the table.
One might be interested in watching Alia’s acting. I will give 2.5-3 stars to this movie. The music is also not so good except that go to hell song. The movie comes out to be just watchable types. So if you are party and comedy lover so this movie is not for you at all. Just drop your plan of watching it. The movie is made keeping in mind only the small demography. So One must leave a thought of watching it and better wait for another Bollywood masala movie of Alia.
