Judged the book by its cover

Plot is as simple as stated by ranjuradhakrish.

The book started off well , talkin about vishu and seeing the world through vishnus eyes. Then there was a barrage of characters.I expected a plot associated with each character. That came true. This is when the book became predictable. These plots were interspersed with vishnu’s flashbacks. Some of the flashbacks were too abstract(you could call them wild imagination if u like).I found many of the plots unrelated to vishnu. The story of the middle class families was not appealing too. Some scenarios depicted were not practical at all (I would not have commented on this but for the fact that the hype around the book claims to portray life in the middleclass clan).

To summarise my reading, I waited for something to happen to the main character or the main character to make something happen , but nuthing transpired even as I turned the last leaf of the book.

I couldn’t figure out what the hype was all about or what the author was trying to express through some serious and abstract discourses.

Loved the cover of the book, the portraits fantastic ’’well I did judge this book by its cover’’.
