Knit in deception, woven in thrill

Of the 4 novels, no doubt The Da Vinci Code of Dan Brown remains the best. But the master of thrilling writing does not disappoint with The Deception Point.

It begins with the tiff between the US President and the Senator with the elections nearing. The senator is in constant criticism of the US President’s overspending on NASA. While NASA relentlessly faces one failure after another.

Amidst the verbal battling, NASA makes an interesting discovery in the Artic Ice that is not only earth shattering but will make a lot of difference to Presidential vote count.

Known scientists and oceanologists from around the world authenticate the discovery. Between the set of world-renowned intellectuals is also caught Rachel, the White house Intelligence Analyst.

What sets Rachel apart from the rest is the one truth?she is the Senator’s daughter. In the sheets of white ice, they discover black truths that can be lethal for their lives. And hence, starts the race?the race for their lives and a race to inform the President.

Is the US President a part of the guile? Is it the Senator’s plan to win elections?

All this and more?packed in The Deception Point.

Something very reassuring about the fiction. Our Indian politicians are not the only corrupted bunch- they have company all over the world.
