Readathon

I used to read a lot in my early twenties (looong back) which I gave up when I started working. Anyway, around 2 months back I felt the craving to begin reading once again. One day while walking on one of the By-lanes off commercial street (Bangalore), I chanced upon a mobile second hand book shop. He had an amazing collection - hardbound original books in excellent condition.I spent 1 hour in the shop and walked away with 2 John Grisham Books paying just Rs. 150 in total.

Anyway, coming to the point, in the last 2 months I have devoured 6 books, which is quite a lot given that I am able to read only a few pages every day.

On My birthday, my wife gifted me 3 novels, one of them being Deception Point by Dan Brown. The Pace of the book had me stumped. From the beginning to the end was non stop action. I spent every spare minute reading the book.

Though after a certain point you know how things are going to pan out, I really enjoyed Dan Brown’s  humour, his attention to detail, his ability to keep a story moving at high speed but mainly for the  entertainment value of it.

A MUST read for people who like me had given up reading. A book like Deception Point is the perfect Ice Breaker.

I have 3 more books to go before I go out and buy more.

Happy Reading everyone!!
