A nice hospital with a lot of shortcomings

I had been to this hospital to get my father operated for his shoulder. The only reason I went back again was because the doctor insisted to get the surgery done in that hospital. The best part of the hospital is that it has a temple outside to pray and calm your emotions when you are tensed about thinking about the patient and dealing with the staff.

They have an excellent panel of efficient an renowned doctors. The doctor who did my fathers surgery was good and was updating us on each an everything. He briefed on all the aspects starting for the registration process. The others may not be the same.

The irritation starts from waiting for the room. For getting the room you have to report to hospital very early in the morning and that too along with the patient. You may not end up getting the room of your preference. Even once you book the room you may end up waiting till evening sitting in room with other patients. Think of the state of a patient to be operated in a room with all other patients from morning 8 till evening 5. The rooms don’t justify the price you pay for them.

The payment process is pain. Your priority for payment is based on your bulldozing capacity.

The canteen is decent enough. Not very expensive although food may not taste good enough. North Indian and south Indian food variety are available.

Nursing staff are on of the most important aspect of the hospital. At least for me the experience has been bad. There are few good ones among them but mostly the bad ones. You may get things only on repeatedly asking them. When you pay the rates they ask for you are justified to get a better treatment.

But in spite of all these I am happy I was in that hospital because the treatment there did avert major medical issues for my father.

But then you can’t rate hospitals as hotels. So I cant say must visit or don’t visit.
